Climbing the ladder of success in South Australia-Sunday World

After successfully hosting the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), a manufacturing company based in Johannesburg, South Africa, SA Ladder set its sights on expansion in the African continent and the company signed some new deals.

Founded in 1992, SA Ladder is a family manufacturing company that produces ladders.

Today, it has developed into a company that manufactures ladders, trolleys, casters, wheels, storage boxes, scaffolding and ladder accessories for the southern African and international markets.

SA Ladder is a subsidiary of the Vharanani Group, a black company that owns 74% of the manufacturing company and the rest (26%) is owned by its employees.

Thomani Lekgade, managing director of SA Ladder, stated that the company has signed and completed transactions with Zimbabwe and KwaZulu-Natal.

"We participated in the exhibition for three purposes: to show our brand to the business community, to obtain good leads and to close deals. We managed to meet all the requirements," Lekgade said.

"We continue to be well received in the market and recognized for the quality products we make."

The company is already an important supplier to customers such as Massmart, Cashbuild, M​​​​​​​​

According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Competition, the recent IATF facilitated transactions of approximately R560 billion.
