Monica told the money-saving Black Friday app: "A year ago I decided to become a self-employed person, giving me a better chance to do my favorite things-creating interior design, making furniture, basically just for Cultivate my creativity.

"The idea for my bathroom comes from an extension of what I have created in the hallway and kitchen.

"A lot of money has been spent on other aspects, and I decided to do it cheaply, because my budget will not extend to brand new suites and tiles.

"I recorded some tips and inspirations in some Facebook groups, and got a lot of inspiration from Pinterest and my favorite indoor magazine.

"My vision is to combine industrial feel with natural wood and green plants, plus a touch of magnificence. When my partner took our children to France to meet their family for a few days, my creative process really began. This Give me the opportunity to remodel the bathroom and use it as a surprise when they come home!

"For most of my projects, my process usually involves an attitude of'try something, see if it works, and if it doesn't work, change it!'" I know I want the whiteness of the shower area and nearby Green plants, then a more refined industrial style boudoir.

In the past 24 hours, more than 1,000 shoppers have seen this Shark vacuum cleaner (pictured above), and we can understand why.

It has dropped to 219 pounds, from 379 pounds.

"First, I prepared the bathtub panels and wall tiles for the entire bathroom with sugar soap. This helps remove any residual dirt or grime that has accumulated over time.

"Next, I used an orbital sander to lightly sand the tiles on the 120 grit. This provides better surface adhesion for the paint.

"I easily removed the toilet paper holder, wall cabinet and towel rail, but the old hexagonal bathroom screen took several hours to remove.

"The fixing bracket is installed on the main wall tiles and fixed in place with the expected Rawlplugs and screws, but the thick yellow industrial glue for extra safety is definitely not what was expected!

"This is my original home, and my father works in a shipyard, so I guess it came from there. Using a hammer and wallpaper scraper, I finally managed to pry it off the tiles, but it damaged them. The surrounding six were either broken or completely broken.

"After receiving the tiler's advice, someone suggested that I remove the broken tiles and replace them with new ones. Given that the tiles are from the 80s, it is almost impossible to find tiles of this size.

"My only option is to buy larger ones and cut them precisely to the right size. This is what I made with my jigsaw puzzle and diamond blade attachment. Thankfully, I have a lot of patience, so after a few hours After the fine shaving and sanding, I managed to fit them perfectly. I fixed them with tile adhesive and grout.

"Then I can start my painting! Once I have decided on the height of the contrast color intersection, I use frog tape to ensure a straight edge. After research, I decided to use French Al Fresco paint. It is a chalk and mineral Base coating with matte effect. It is known for its durability and water resistance.

"I used Screwfix's Harris paintbrush and applied a thin layer of Blackjack above the frog tape line. It dries quickly, but it was mottled at first, but after the second coat, its coverage is impressive Unbelievable, there is no exposed area.

"The two coats will take about three hours to complete. I removed the frog tape and started applying white Dazzle Me paint, again using the paintbrush. I brought it to the line where it met 21 o'clock with a steady hand. The final finishing wherever needed was done with a very small brush, with four coats of white paint, completely covering the old blue tiles.

"The bathroom panels, window frames and storage units were prepared and painted in a similar way, with two or three coats of blackjack paint. Finally, I used a layer of white lotion to give the ceiling a new look. The floor is my next. Work. I used sugar soap to prepare it again. I decided to put it on the existing linoleum for two reasons. "First, it is already very smooth and flat, and second, the floor below is concrete. The instructions for the floor tiles tell you not to put It is placed on the concrete because it will not stick. I calculated the exact center of the floor and started laying tiles. I used a tape measure and a Stanley knife to cut the tiles around the edges.

“The tiles themselves are self-adhesive and very sticky. For the tricky areas around the sink and toilet, I used waste paper and pencils as templates.

"I used the template and gradually changed it until it became a perfect job. It was a bit tedious, but the result was well worth it.

"I also used a contact adhesive spray where I felt more susceptible to moisture and heat, just to give it some extra safety. Finally, I sealed the edges around the sink and toilet with black sealant to complete this work.

"The final work included installing a new concealed blind. It was easy because the previous guide hole fixings were exactly where I needed the new location. I also installed a new black toilet seat, replacing the existing white toilet. Seat.

"The installation of the bathtub screen is a bit tricky because it is really heavy and the installation needs to be precise. First, I installed the wall bracket and let the screen slide in, and then with some help, I managed to accurately fix it in place.

"I bought some scaffolding boards from my friend Paddy because I wanted some primitive and rustic frames. I cut them to the size I want with a circular saw, let them dry a little, and then sanded them with sandpaper.

Finally, I oiled them with the remaining bench oil in the kitchen. I use Rawlplugs and screws to fix them on the wall, and use a special tile drill bit to make sure I haven't cracked or damaged my tiles.

"My last job was to install a new lamp. My existing lamp was screwed directly to the ceiling, so I needed to install a new drop-down chandelier and then install my lampshade.

"Equipped my headlights and made sure that the power was off, I started to replace the ceiling rise. After unscrewing the existing wiring, I found that the old wiring system was connected to the power supply in place!

"After a quick search on Google, while my two little boys patiently waited for the Internet to resume, I figured out which wire went where and reconnected it.

"I installed the pendant on the ceiling, inserted the light bulb, then inserted the lampshade, turned on the power again, and was excited to find that it worked! My children were so happy for me that I did it!

"The materials I used include French Al Fresco Blackjack, Dazzle Me and Gold Frensheen, which cost £69.80.

"The floor is a glued tile from Amazon, priced at £57.60.

"The lamps, lampshades and drawstrings are all from Amazon and cost £50.87.

"The bathroom screen is from Victoriaplum.com and costs £200, while the storage cabinet I painted is from Habitat and costs £80.

"The shelf is a 9-inch scaffolding board. I cut, polished and oiled it-it's free.

"Industrial shelving brackets are from woodnwax.co.uk and cost £24.

"Other accessories include the'toilet rules' and the golden peace sign from Rockett St George, which are priced at 54 pounds, the Nkuku vanity mirror is priced at 38.50 pounds, the Habitat round gold mirror is priced at 25.00 pounds, and some plants from M&S and Next are sold. Three plants at a price of 54.50 pounds."

Monica is very excited about the results of her project and the thousands of pounds she has saved by her own hands.

"I am very proud of the look I created and the overall look of my house-it just connects everything together!" she added.

"In terms of cost, without plants and decorations, I spent less than 500 pounds to complete it, of which 280 pounds were bathroom screens and lockers.

"Look at your typical DIY shop online. I estimate that it will cost around 2,000 pounds to do similar work. This is not yet the cost of the workers who complete the pipes and tiles, so it may cost 4,000 pounds including these costs. I feel absolutely happy. I did it myself."
