We may need to wait another year to actually ride TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom, but in recent weeks, the construction of the exterior of the attraction has been steadily advancing.

From the monorail, we can see the construction vehicles parked behind the exhibition hall.

We also saw a crane towering above the guest entrance of the building.

Cranes are being used to build the entrance canopy.

From PeopleMover, we saw the staff in the cherry picking truck under the canopy.

They have been installing components along the edges of the frame to support the future opaque canopy. They also installed pipes at the edges.

On the ground, many crew members are working on the walkway leading to the roller coaster.

The sidewalk is now mainly wood and steel.

Some crew members are working on the floor of the aisle.

The scaffolding has been installed in place for the Walt Disney World Rail Tunnel below the roller coaster (at the bottom right in the image above). The tunnel has been paved and work on the walls is in progress.

Some blue nets have been removed from the canopy frame near the exhibition building.

Some nets are still attached to the frame.

Behind the canopy, the scaffolding is still around and below the entrance of the roller coaster into the building. The brown paneling is now behind the scaffolding.

We see more staff working in the main entrance tunnel, which has another arched part.

On the other side of the construction site, more paneling was added to the mysterious small structure.

While continuing to install the panelling, the stairs used by the crew have been moved.
