SALT LAKE CITY — Ballpark Station and 1300 S between 300 W and West Temple are now open again after closing last night. The Salt Lake City Police Department said the wind caused some scaffolding to fall onto the road and onto the tracks in the area.

SLCPD Spokesperson Brent Weisberg said a microburst made its way through the Ballpark District last night, sending the construction materials all over the road.

The Utah Transit Authority had to close the station and enact a bus bridge due to debris on the tracks at the Ballpark Station.

#TRAX Update 10:03 PM: The bus bridge between Central Pointe and 900 S will remain in effect until the end of service. Continue to expect major delays. It is unknown if the hazard will be cleared tonight, so a bus bridge may remain in effect for morning service.
