The Houston Texans, the NFL Foundation, and the Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC) will allocate $450,000 to renovate and resurface the sports field at Jack Yates High School. The project aims to solve the problem of the lack of clean, safe and accessible playgrounds in the third area of Houston. In addition, Harris County Sports and Conference Corporation-NRG Park, Harris County First District Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Hellas Construction, Inc. and the Houston Texans also announced that they will donate the Texans from NRG Stadium The man-made playing field, installed in Yates, provided an additional in-kind donation worth US$1,250,000 for the project, and continued the tradition of donating the Texan’s previous playing field to community causes.
Texans players, TORO and Houston Texans cheerleaders visited the US Coast Guard in Galveston with USAA to learn about their daily duties, visit helicopters and ships, and watch search and rescue demonstrations.
To commemorate PLAY 60 Week, Texas players Nico Collins, Jordan Akins, Jeff Driskel, Carson Green, Connor Strachan and Garret Wallow played a friendly game with members of the Greater Houston Boys and Girls Club. The countdown to Children's Day hosted by Texas Children's Hospital has begun! TORO and Kamu Grugier-Hill used suspended scaffolding and robots to visit patients in the hospital.
The Houston Texans and Whataburger teamed up to raise $120,000 for the Houston Food Bank through Action Hunger to provide much-needed funds to support food insecure people in the Houston community.
The Texans began another year of Kroger's plan to fight hunger. Students at J. Ruth Smith Elementary School participated in a trivia game with Texas players, and a lucky teacher got a year's worth of groceries provided by Kroger. After the end of this school year, this elementary school will be the first elementary school to achieve 100% participation of teachers and students in the fight against hunger.

In October, the Houston Texans and Miller Lite stopped at the children’s meal to celebrate Jessica Cordero, who was the winner of the 2021 Houston Texan Campeón de la Comunidad Award, awarded by Miller Lite, a longtime NASA employee and children’s meal volunteer . TORO, Houston Texans cheerleaders, Texas legend Chester Pitts and Texans guard Terrence Mitchell packed 840 meals with Miller Lite, which will be distributed to children in need around Houston. The Texans and Miller Lite also donated $20,000 to Children's Meals in memory of Jessica.
The McNair family, TORO and Texas cheerleaders sent letters of encouragement and welcome kits to Hope House on Founder’s Day. Hope Lodge Houston will provide free accommodation and support for visitors to the Houston area for cancer treatment. It is the largest of its kind in the United States with 64 suites. The facilities will be open all year round, including a shared kitchen, dining area, pantry, and daily bed linen service. And patient laundry facilities, as well as library and computer access. Residents can also participate in support groups and social events.

The Texan and Miller Lite are proud to announce that Jessica Cordero (Jessica Cordero) is a long-term NASA employee and an enthusiastic volunteer for children’s meals. She was at the reception last week. The 2021 winner of the Campeón de la Comunidad Award. To commemorate the award, Miller Lite and the Houston Texans will donate $20,000 to Kids' Meals Houston, a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating child hunger by providing free healthy meals for preschoolers. Miller Lite and the Texans also honored two finalists, local chef and 86 Cancer supporter David Guerrero and Autismo Houston's mother and founder Yuliana Gonzalez. The Houston Texans and Papa John's Houston team were on the opening day of the YMCA's Houston Texans Flag Football. Papa John’s Houston donated $5,000 to YMCA to support the Flag Football Scholarship. The Vice President of the Houston Texans Foundation and the Texans wife assisted in distributing groceries and meals in the Chevron Market pantry of the Greater Houston Boys and Girls Club-Harvard Club. The pantry is operated in partnership with the Greater Houston Boys and Girls Club, Houston Food Bank, Chevron and Texans. Since opening in 2016, the pantry has been operating as part of the Boys and Girls Club of the Texas Youth Club in Houston, providing free food to the community twice a month and providing volunteer service and learning opportunities for youth members. On August 31st, twelve Houston Texans fans came to the NRG Stadium to participate in the ultimate obstacle course consisting of football and bedding training. The winner will take home the 2021 Houston Texans season ticket, and the runner-up will receive the mattress company Queen Ssized Sleepy's mattress.

In Operation Final Homeland, the Texans and local house builders built a new unsecured house for US Army Chief of Staff Stephen Netzley and his daughter Mraz. Stephen and his daughter were surprised to learn that they received news from representatives of TORO, Texas Cheerleading and Operation FINALLY HOME on November 23, 2020.
The Houston Texans hosted the 2021 Youth Football Training Camp at the Houston Methodist Training Center to teach children the basics of football and how to play safely.
The 2021 Coaching Academy will be held at the NRG Center on Saturday, June 5. The coaches in attendance were able to listen to the views of Texans special team coordinator Frank Rose and learn about the latest health and player safety from top experts in the region. After the event, coaches can apply for grants of up to $25,000 for their school or plan.
