The architectural firm sknypl designed a series of colorful polyhedral pavilions to hold the first ever Russian creative industry festival in Moscow’s Gorky Park. The project consists of 14 volumes and is used as a keynote lecture hall, conference area, news kiosk and information center. The goal of the design is to create a festival with unforgettable objects under difficult epidemic situations.

The polyhedral pavilion of sknypl displays a colorful appearance and high ceiling plan, resulting in a bold composition that changes the waterfront. The sloping exterior wall allows the active part to be open to the public and provides a variety of exit methods to comply with safety and sanitary building codes. Taking into account the needs of social distance, each lecture hall is designed to accommodate a total of 60 visitors.  

Pavilions, terraces and pavilions are designed in various colors, exuding bright light at night, creating an extraordinary atmosphere and refreshing the scenery of Gorky Park. The color scheme simplifies navigation, and the transit path between the pavilions allows visitors to pass through the lecture hall and easily reach other areas of the festival. The layout of the pavilion allows enough space to maintain proper social distancing agreements in the case of queuing.

The Russian Creative Industries Festival will be held not only in Moscow, but also throughout Russia. With this in mind, the pavilion is constructed with multi-layer quick-installation scaffolding and covered with waterproof fabric, which can be easily disassembled and assembled anywhere.
